Construction Contracts
Different types of construction contracts (works contract) in the UK can be difficult to understand due to the complex language they employ.
We assist clients in delivering their projects, which can vary in complexity and value from £10K to £200m. Furthermore, we provide support with all types of construction contracts in the UK. This includes contract reviews and negotiating your position prior to project delivery. By working with you and your project team throughout the delivery of the work, we help prepare, negotiate, and settle final accounts.
Our aim is to become your commercial team. This will relieve you of unwanted contractual obligations, whilst carrying out these duties on your behalf. Moreover, we believe in a simple approach, taking ownership of your contractual negotiations and contract delivery in two phases:
Contract Negotiations
Receive
Review
Negotiate
Agree
By reviewing contracts against your proposal, we are able to identify onerous terms, risks, and scope creep. Consequently, we have built a reputation for conducting these reviews quickly and to tight deadlines. This enables clients to meet the contract requirements.
Contract Delivery
Plan
Monitor
Report
Deliver
By correctly planning contract delivery from the project outset, we are able to work with you to ensure that your obligations and reporting requirements are met.
This process, therefore, protects margins and disruption costs while identifying delays early in a project. Additionally, our expert team will guide you through the contract requirements, together with relevant legislation such as the Construction Act. This results in good commercial practice and, often, dispute avoidance.
